Marie Tengren-Knight, Metalsmith & Alchemist

I came to metalsmithing through a conviction: that certain objects are made to accompany a life, not decorate it. I work with fire, ancient symbols, and materials pulled from the earth to forge talismans and adornments that mark where you have been and point toward where you are going. Every piece is made by hand in Santa Fe, one at a time, for the person it was waiting for.
